‘This is revenge for what Hamas did’

For more than 30 years, a community of Palestinian shepherds say they lived relatively peacefully in a remote valley in the Israeli occupied West Bank. A few days after the deadly attack by Hamas in southern Israel, the families say they faced the worst harassment and threats from armed Jewish settlers and Israeli soldiers they’d ever seen. On Oct.12, the Bedouin community emptied out, saying they feared for their lives. Those who advocate for Palestinians in the West Bank say that Jewish settlers are attempting to “cleanse” the area of Palestinians. The settlers claim differently. The World’s Matthew Bell reports from the West Bank.
