Flag controversy ahead of Canada Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day in Canada is usually marked by a ceremonious lowering of the flags to remember Canada’s veterans — except this year, the flags are already lowered. That’s because Canada’s government called for all flags to be lowered following the discovery of unmarked graves at Canada’s residential schools where indigenous children were sent to be reeducated. Whether the flags should be lowered or not is now causing controversy. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Anita Elash, a reporter based in Canada.
