For the last 400 years, you would be hard pressed to find a wild beaver in Britain — the species was hunted to extinction way back in the 16th century. But conservation groups in the UK want to turn back time and reintroduce beavers to their native lands. The government is considering plans to release beavers into rivers there, after a successful pilot project. The World’s Marco Werman speaks about it with Chris Jones, director and founder of a group called Beaver Trust.
