With guilt and relief, an Afghan family starts a new life in the US

The United States is stepping up the pace of airlifts out of the Kabul airport in a race against the clock. Afghans fleeing Taliban rule are starting to arrive in the US. Many are starting a new chapter in apartments, often arranged by refugee resettlement agencies. And in places like Sacramento, California, one of the larger Afghan American communities in the US. The World’s Monica Campbell meets one newly arrived family.
