A plan by 12 of Europe’s top football teams to form an elite breakaway league has fallen apart just three days after it was announced. The new European Super League was condemned by former players, football associations and politicians. Today, nine of the teams said they would no longer take part in the competition. So, what went wrong? The World’s Europe correspondent Orla Barry reports.
