COVAX vaccines distributed in Ghana 

Last week, the first COVAX vaccine doses were distributed to the West African country of Ghana. Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo-Addo, became the world’s first recipient of the coronavirus vaccine through the COVAX program. COVAX is a worldwide vaccine-sharing initiative led by the WHO to help prevent poorer countries from falling behind on immunization efforts. Host Marco Werman talks with Dr. Asiedu Bekoe, who specializes in epidemiology and disease control at Ghana’s Public Health Service.
