US hits target in Syria used by Iranian-backed militias in Iraq

The US launched airstrikes in Syria on Thursday, targeting facilities near the Iraqi border used by Iranian-backed militia groups. The strikes killed at least 22 people, according to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
