Last weekend, a federal judge ordered the Trump administration to reinstate DACA — the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program — to its original form and to start accepting new applications. The Obama-era program has helped protect hundreds of thousands of young immigrants from deportation — but the Trump administration ended it in 2017.
