Boris Johnson’s first year in office as British prime minister has been a rocky one, between the pandemic and Brexit talks. The abrupt resignation of his chief adviser, Dominic Cummings, last Friday, has added to the turmoil on 10 Downing Street. Cummings, a hardline Brexiteer, played a significant role in securing Johnson a landslide victory in the last general election.
