Immigrant doctors are an important part of the US health care system, making up more than a quarter of the physician workforce in parts of the country. And while the pandemic has been difficult for many in health care, those with temporary visas are experiencing even more stress as COVID-19 threatens their livelihoods, their families and their future in the United States.
