It’s long been known that the ancient Phoenician civilization loved its wine, and was influential in spreading wine culture around the Mediterranean and beyond. Now, a wine press discovered in Lebanon is exciting proof that wine was a cornerstone of the Phoenician economy. The World’s Jessica Yarmosky reports.
