EU top court strikes down key EU-US data-sharing mechanism

Europe’s highest court on Thursday struck down a key privacy pact that allowed companies to transfer data between the US and Europe. The European Court of Justice said in its ruling that the agreement, called The EU-US Privacy Shield, failed to protect privacy and data protection rules. The World’s Lydia Emmanouilidou reports.
