Stringent lockdown restrictions in Uganda harm people with disabilities

Uganda has some of the strictest lockdown restrictions in Africa. Police have used excessive force against those who violate the curfew and transportation limitations — and it has been especially hard on people with disabilities. This week, the Ugandan government said it would be lifting some of its restrictions as it says it has “tamed” COVID-19. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Robinah Alambuya, an inclusive disability rights advocate in Uganda.
