Amazon temporarily closes in France

The World

In France, Amazon distribution centers have temporarily closed after a French court found that the company was not doing enough to protect its workers from the novel coronavirus pandemic. Originally, the court in Nanterre, Paris, ruled that Amazon should restrict its deliveries to “essential” goods only — or it would face a fine. Host Marco Werman speaks with Stéphane Enjalran, the spokesman for Solidaires, one of the unions in France that represents Amazon warehouse workers.
