Former Liberian president and Nobel laureate, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, knows firsthand what it’s like to face a deadly virus outbreak. The Ebola outbreak in West Africa that started in 2014 killed more than 4,800 Liberians. Sirleaf spoke to the BBC and reflected on how the world came together “boldly” and stopped the spread of the disease.
