Iran slapped with new international sanctions on election day

The people of Iran went to the polls on Friday to elect a new parliament, or Majlis. Hard-liners are expected to do well, as many moderates were blocked from running. Observers are watching turnout closely. Meanwhile, Iran has been officially blacklisted by an an international body, the Financial Action Task Force, for failing to comply with global anti-terrorism financing norms. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Barbara Slavin, director of the Future of Iran Initiative at the Atlantic Council.
