One thing’s for sure about this coronavirus outbreak: it’s a global challenge requiring a coordinated global response. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC, is helping to lead that effort. In recent years, the CDC has expanded its operations globally to respond to potential disease threats. But the agency is also facing threats of its own when it comes to long-term stability and support.
