The World

Today is the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp by Soviet troops in Poland. Around 90 percent of Poland’s Jewish population was killed in the Holocaust. Even after the war, many Jewish families who remained in Poland hid their religious identity. The World’s Orla Barry reports on Jewish life in Poland today.
