Abandoning Kurds boosts ISIS

The Syrian Kurds are guarding vast camps of ISIS sympathizers in Northeast Syria. Analyst Azadeh Moaveni of the International Crisis Group says a Turkish incursion across the border into Syria could jeopardize security in those enclaves. That’s especially worrying because as Brett McGurk, President Trump’s former special envoy to defeat ISIS, tells host Marco Werman, the Kurdish-controlled camps in Syria contain the nucleus for a resurgent ISIS.
