Latest round of talks with the Taliban ends

The latest round of peace talks between the Taliban and the US ended today. This was the seventh time the US and Taliban met to discuss peace in Afghanistan. The talks were held in Doha, Qatar, and hosted by the Qatari and German governments. Overall, the negotiations were seen as a positive step towards peace in Afghanistan. Zalmay Khalilzad, US special envoy for peace talks with the Taliban, left Doha with an optimistic tone. He said a lot of progress has been made. The World’s Shirin Jaafari reports.
