Syria refugee camp diary

The World

Jordan’s fourth largest city is actually a Syrian refugee camp, home to about 80,000 people. Nida Yassin works at the Za’atari camp for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. She’s been keeping an audio diary of life at the camp. And there’s a program for the girls at the camp that she’s especially proud of. It’s called TIGER: These Inspired Girls Enjoy Reading.
