UN human rights chief says her own experience is key

 Michelle Bachelet started her job as UN Human Rights chief in September. In one of her first meetings, the topic of her own experiences as a political prisoner came up. Bachelet opposed Chile’s military dictatorship, and she was jailed and tortured for that. Now she says she will bring that experience to her job at the UN.
