Frances Kai-Hwa Wang

Frances Kai-Hwa Wang is a freelance journalist, essayist, speaker and educator focused on issues of diversity, race, culture and the arts. She is the child of immigrants from China by way of Taiwan. Born in Los Angeles, Calif. and raised in Silicon Valley, she now divides her time between Michigan and the Big Island of Hawaii. She has worked in philosophy, ethnic new media, anthropology, international development, nonprofits and small business start-ups. Her work has appeared at NBC News, New America Media, Pacific Citizen, Angry Asian Man and several anthologies and journals.
