Chana Schoenberger

Chana Schoenberger is a freelance foreign correspondent based in Tokyo. Until October 2009, she was an associate editor at Forbes magazine, where she was on staff since 1999. In 2007, she joined the Forbes Tokyo Bureau, covering technology, business and finance in Japan and Korea. Her work appeared in the U.S. edition of Forbes as well as in Forbes Asia, distributed in English throughout the region, and on Forbes.com.

Prior to moving to Tokyo, she often appeared on TV and radio on behalf of Forbes, including on the Fox News Channel’s “Forbes on Fox” and the syndicated show “Forbes on Radio.” She also served as secretary to the board of the New York Financial Writers’ Association.

Before joining Forbes, Ms. Schoenberger had her work published in The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, Newsweek, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. She has a BA in history/international relations from Harvard and a master’s in journalism from Columbia as a Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Economics and Business Journalism.
