Astronaut posts the first Instagram from space

GlobalPost

It is a great accomplishment. It is history in the making. It is the world's first Instagram from space.

And it's a selfie.

American astronaut Steven R. Swanson successfully posted a picture of himself on the International Space Station's Instagram feed this week. What's cooler is that he did it from space.

There he is floating in the middle of Cupola — the seven-window observatory section of the ISS. The caption reads: “Back on ISS, life is good.” Boo yeah.

His second post Tuesday was way better. It's the northern lights while above Europe:Now that's one for the bucket list.

Hat tip, PetaPixel.
