Solar-Panel Plant Closes in China After Protests

Demonstrations in China are relatively commonplace.

But a series of sometimes violent protest in eastern China seem to have yielded some results.

Angry residents have been demonstrating against a solar-panel manufacturer in Haining.

The residents said Jinko Solar Holding Company was dumping toxic chemicals into their water supply.

Monday, the factory was ordered to suspend operations and a spokesperson admitted the company was negligent.
