Kirchner says she governs for all farmers and not just the farmers. the nation has been split over taxes that Kirchner has imposed on the farmers, to which they’ve rioted and caused shortages of food and fuel in the country. this political scientist says the anti-government protests have little to do with the taxes. The president also announced she would put her taxes to a vote in Congress but the farmers remained unimpressed. It seems the farmers might have the support to outlast the government and the president. The political scientist agrees the president has an uphill battle. He describes Kirchner’s style as authoritarian.
