Tom Cruise “didn’t expect” divorce

In his first public comment since his split from Katie Holmes, actor Tom Cruise says he did not see the divorce coming.
"I didn't expect that," Cruise told German TV network Prosieben.
"Life is a challenge. You are 50 and you think you have everything in order and suddenly it hits you, that’s what life is all about."
Holmes, 34, filed for divorce in June last year, and it was reported at the time that she had "blindsided" Cruise while he was filming in Iceland.
The announcement came a few days before his 50th birthday.
He said it gave him "an incredible amount of time to reflect" as he marked the milestone.
Neither Cruise or Holmes have ever spoken about the reasons for the split but rumors persist Holmes was unhappy with the control the religion Scientology was having over daughter, Suri, US Weekly reported.
During the interview this week, Cruise also spoke about his new $120 million sci-fi blockbuster "Oblivion", in which he did many of his own stunts.
