Yemeni officials today said a US drone attack killed seven suspected insurgents with ties to Al-Qaeda, according to the Associated Press.
Local authorities speaking on the condition of anonymity told AP the drone hit a car in the town of Khwlan just southeast of the capital.
The report also cited Interior Ministry officials as saying a separate Tuesday strike killed a total of five people instead of the provisional three.
The US typically does not confirm or deny reports of drone attacks.
The Yemen branch of Al Qaeda is believed to be one of the world's most radical.
