Katie Couric says CBS felt ‘constrained,’ wasn’t the right place for her

There is still bad blood between Katie Couric and her former employer CBS News.

Couric had some harsh words for the network, in an interview published Tuesday in Good Housekeeping magazine.

When asked about anchoring "CBS Evening News," Couric said while she was "really proud of the work [she] did," Couric described feeling "constrained."

"I felt liberated," upon leaving, she explained.

Couric is launching a new daytime talk show "Katie" this September.

USA TODAY reported Couric has a list of A-list guests lined up including Barbra Streisand, Sheryl Crow, Jennifer Lopez, Susan Sarandon and Jessica Simpson.

Asked about dating, Couric replied "I never in a million years thought I'd be 55 and dating."

Couric recently ended a five-year relationship with a man 17 years her junior.
