Paola Loriggio

Paola Loriggio is a freelance journalist covering Canadian affairs from Toronto, with regular reporting trips abroad. She spent two years reporting on municipal politics and issues for the Toronto Star, the country’s largest daily. As a staff writer for the Star-Ledger, she focused on development and environmental news — as well as the odd political scandal — in central New Jersey. Most recently, she travelled to Kenya to cover marriage law reform; reported from Italy on the changing landscape of L’Aquila; and spent three months in Atlantic Canada covering the energy sector. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.
