The beach at Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh runs uninterrupted for 75 miles along the Bay of Bengal, enough to make it the world’s longest, according to the government’s tourism board. Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, is often seen on as a place of military rule, gradually moving towards democracy. But in recent weeks a new story has emerged: what one UN offical called the 'ethnic cleansing' of a religious minority. Refugees fleeing from the affected areas have told horrendours stories of rapes, killings and house burnings, although these claims are denied by the government.
