Need to know:

How does a jet break apart in the air? That's what investigators are trying to figure out today, after an Airbus A321 airliner crashed into a mountainous area of Sinai yesterday, killing all 224 people on board.

The plane was en route from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt to St. Petersburg. All but a few of the passengers on board were Russian. The pilot had apparently radioed with technical difficulties shortly before losing contact with air traffic control. Then, about 20 minutes after takeoff, the plane split in two and the front portion plunged into a rockface. The scene today is one of mangled debris and piles of belongings strewn over a wide area.

As questions swirl, the ever-opportunist Islamic State has attempted to provide answers. It claimed responsibility for the crash, though its claims are being widely dismissed. Sinai is the scene of an insurgency by militants close to Islamic State, but they are not believed to have missiles capable of hitting a plane at 30,000 feet. And it wouldn't be the first time Islamic State websites have claimed responsibility for actions that have not been conclusively attributed to them.

So the search for answers continues. Russian and Egyptian investigators are starting with the two black boxes recovered from the debris. There are reports that Russia has grounded Airbus A321 jets in the meantime. Friends and relatives who were meant to meet their loved ones at the airport in St. Petersburg have gathered there still, for a day of mourning instead.

Even in a country notorious for machismo and sexual harassment, you might think that male TV presenters would know not to molest their female partners on air.

But that message didn’t get through to Enrique Tovar, a star of a local station in Ciudad Juarez, just across the border from El Paso, Texas. His lewd remarks and inappropriate touching of his co-host, apparently on live TV, prompted her to storm off the set of their show “A Toda Maquina” this week triggering, a national firestorm about his inappropriate actions.

Over the course of three minutes, Tovar attempts to lift Reza’s skirt, rubs up against her, touches her breast and directs repeated sexist comments at her. Here's the clip.

GlobalPost's Simeon Tegel reports that the incident is perhaps particularly striking coming in Ciudad Juarez, a city long notorious globally for its extremely high levels of femicide, the murder of a woman simply because of her gender.

Strange but true:

Even space rocks get dressed up for Halloween. A massive space rock that looked more like a dead comet with a skull face shaved by Earth just in time for this weekend's festivities. Fer serious. Even NASA says. We know it sounds improbable but just take a look for yourself.
