Massacre in Cairo’s Rabaa al-Adaweya Square

At least 149 people have been killed so far, as the violence continued while Egyptian Security Forces surrounded the square, as well as Nahda Square across town, to clear the pro-Morsi sit-ins being held there.
Bulldozers and armored personnel carriers closed off exits as forces fired birdshot, tear gas and live ammunition into the crowd. Government snipers also took aim at civilians and protesters from nearby rooftops.
A state of emergency has been declared.
