Wendy Davis: Texas Gov. Rick Perry is ‘bullying’ women (VIDEO)

State Senator Wendy Davis said Sunday she would not stop fighting Texas' strict anti-abortion bill, SB5, and accused Governor Rick Perry of "bullying" women for his own political gain.

"Politicians are using this issue to boost their own political aspirations, and they're bulling women and their liberties… in the process," Davis told CBS' Face The Nation.

She added, "I feel for their political ambitions Governor Perry and Lt. Governor Dewhurst are willing to… put women in harm's way in order for them to step up the political ladder."

Davis, a Democrat from Ft. Worth, vowed to keep up the fight on Monday, saying she would work "with every fiber I have to keep it from passing."

Davis's 11-hour filibuster on Tuesday prevented the bill from passing, but Perry has called a second special legislative session that begins Monday afternoon and could last for weeks.

Although many expect SB5 to pass Texas' Republican-dominated legislature, Davis doesn't think that will happen.

On NBC’s Meet the Press, Davis said: "I don't think that we will concede that this battle is over… I believe in the power of democracy."

If the bill does pass, only five of the state's 42 abortion clinics would remain open. Women would be banned from having abortions after 20 weeks into their pregnancy.
