Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Boston bombings suspect, indicted on 30 counts

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving Boston bombing suspect, has been indicted on 30 counts, including using weapons of mass destruction and murdering three people.
The 19-year-old was formally charged by a federal grand jury in Boston Thursday for his role in the April 15 attack on the Boston Marathon, which also left more than 260 people injured.
His brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed in a gun battle with police April 19.

Tsarnaev left a confession in a boat in the Watertown, Mass., backyard where he was captured by police after the manhunt that read, “I don’t like killing innocent people" and “We Muslims are one body, you hurt one you hurt us all," The Boston Globe reported.
According to the US attorney's office, 17 of the charges against Tsarnaev are punishable by either life in prison or the death penalty.
The two suspects allegedly used shrapnel-packed pressure cooker bombs to attack the finish line of the city's marathon; they also stand accused of murdering a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer.
US Attorney Carmen J. Ortiz, officials from the Middlesex and Suffolk district attorney’s office and the heads of the Boston FBI and the Massachusetts State Police are expected to give further details in a press conference 3 p.m. Thursday.
