FISA, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, gave clearance for the NSA's phone records sweep on April 25th, 10 days after the Boston Marathon bombings. The timing has many speculating about a connection between the two. We can't know for sure, but it got us wondering about the status of that investigation. Juliette Kayyem, foreign affairs columnist for the Boston Globe, and a former homeland security official, says there are many unanswered questions in the case.
