Huge ice tsunami swallows homes on Canadian lake Dauphin (VIDEO)

It has been a pretty cold and wet spring but it has certainly been worse for some among us.

A rural area in central Canada has seen what can only be described as an ice tsunami in recent days.

The nine-foot high ice wave has swallowed lakefront homes but luckily it has not injured or killed anyone.

Lake Dauphin, in the central Canadian province Manitoba, saw 27 homes damaged when the tsunami poured over the shore at rapid pace.

The ice was pushed by 50 mph winds and images and video of it are harrowing.
