The House Committee on Homeland Security held the first congressional hearing on the Boston Marathon bombings yesterday. During the hearing, which was the first to review the response by law enforcement and the government to the April 15 attack, Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis admitted that the F.B.I had not informed the Boston Police about Russia’s warnings concerning bombing suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick argues that even if the Boston Police had prior knowledge of the F.B.I’s investigation of Tsarnaev, it would not have been enough to have stopped the attack at the Boston Marathon.
