FBI seeks public’s help to identify two suspects in Boston Marathon attack

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking two men who are suspects in Monday’s terrorist attack on the Boston Marathon Monday afternoon.
The two men, known only as suspect one and suspect two, are seen carrying backpacks that resemble the backpacks recovered from the blast. Suspect two, FBI Special Agent-In-Charge Richard DesLauriers said, is seen on video dropping a backpack near the site of one of the blasts just moments before the explosion happened.
The FBI released a collection of photos, and a video sequence of the two men.
“For more than 100 years, the FBI has relied on the public to be its eyes and ears,” DesLauriers said. “We know the public will play a critical role in identifying these individuals.”
These two men, DesLauriers said, are believed to be considered armed and extremely dangerous. The FBI urged anyone with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit bostonmarathontips.fbi.gov, and not to approach them under any circumstances.
“If you see these men, contact law enforcement,” he said. “The nation is counting on those with information to come forward and provide it to us.”
And while DesLauriers emphasized how dangerous these two individuals are believed to be, he stood by his statement that there is no imminent, immediate danger to the U.S. public.
All the force of federal government and local agencies set about to ensure all responsible for the bombings will be brought to justice, he said. DesLauriers said one of the two suspects was identified fairly quickly, with the connection to a second suspect developed more recently.
