US college student Samuel Levine plunges to death from hotel balcony in Mexico

A University of California student plunged to his death from a sixth-floor hotel balcony during his spring break in Mexico.
Samuel Levine, 22, was vacationing with friends in Cabo San Lucas, located on the southern tip of Baja California, when the tragic accident happened Tuesday.
The psychology major was due to graduate in June, the Associated Press reported.
Steven Kay, a dean at USC, was quoted by the AP as saying Levine had an “incredibly promising life that was tragically cut short.”
The Daily Mail reported Levine, a talented basketball player, sustained “serious head injuries” in the fall.
Every year, tens of thousands of US college students flood to Mexico for the spring break. They typically go to popular resort cities such as Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and San Jose del Cabo.
