A 12-year-old boy says he placed a 9/11 prank call that drew police to Ashton Kutcher's home, according to a Los Angeles District Attorney statement cited by the Associated Press.

The boy, whose identity is withheld, is accused of similar shenanigans at Justin Bieber's place, reported AP

As the celebrity website TMZ put it: "12-Year-Old Swatter Yup, I Did It."

The celebrity-targeting "swatting" tactic is reportedly intended to bring about a large police response.

The boy confessed to falsely reporting a bomb scare and a cyber attack, the district attorney's office said, adding that he will be sentenced later, said AP.
