Queen Elizabeth is known for remaining healthy and active, even at the age of 86. She hasn't been treated overnight at a hospital in 10 years, Sky News reported. So it was a little worrisome to Brits when she got a stomach bug that forced her to cancel a trip to Rome to meet the Italian President Giorgio Napolitano. She rarely cancels appointments,  Reuters reported.

But it seems Queen Elizabeth has bounced back. The Queen has left the hospital after spending just 24 hours being treated for symptoms of gastroenteritis, Sky News said.

NPR's Philip Reeves reported  that her stay in the hospital was just a "a precautionary measure. It was so that doctors could better monitor the 86-year-old monarch. She first became ill last week, forcing her to call off a trip to Wales Friday. Her engagements for the coming week are now postponed or canceled."
