Israel, Palestinians lashed by record-breaking storms (PHOTOS)

Israel and the Palestinian territories continue to be lashed by heavy rains and winds, causing at least six injuries and downing power lines across the region.
Winds reached 74 miles an hour, according to Israeli military radio, and trees surrounding the Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif complex that houses the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa mosques were torn from the ground, Agence France Presse reported.
Coastal towns and riverbeds in the Jordan Valley and Judean Desert continued to be flooded on Tuesday, and major highways around Israel have been shut down as a result of flash flooding, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Hermon mountain received snow, shuttering the ski resort in the area. Israel's meteorological service said that this winter is the wettest the country has seen in at least 10 years, according to AFP, and much of the region could see the rain turn to snow as temperatures drop.
