Copa Sudamericana: Argentina’s Tigre soccer club accuses Brazilian police of pulling guns on players
Brazil officials say they’ll keep their eye on the ball, too.
Sao Paulo won the Copa Sudamericana title on Wednesday. But it wasn't exactly a cause to celebrate. They won because their opponent, Argentine club Tigre, refused to play the second half of the final, the Associated Press reported. Sao Paul had been leading 2-0 when Tigre forfeited the game.
The reason for the forfeit? Argentina's Tigre says police pulled guns on their players, the Guardian reported.

Argentine television showed images of blood on the walls of the Tigre dressing room, RT News reported. "During the break, a big guy came in with a gun. They pulled two revolvers," their coach told Fox Sports. "We're not going to play anymore. Police entered and struck our players with sticks. It was crazy, what happened was crazy.”
Following Tigre's refusal to play, the referee signaled the end of the match and Sao Paulo and their fans began celebrating, BBC News reported.Tigre players meanwhile stayed in their dressing room for several hours after the incident before going to a police station to give an official complaint.
