Jail time looms for Lindsay Lohan after judge revokes probation

Lindsay Lohan is facing the prospect of more jail time after a Los Angeles judge revoked her probation Wednesday in light of charges of reckless driving and lying to police after a June traffic accident, reports Reuters.

The "Liz & Dick" star, 26, is on probation for a highly publicized jewelry theft last year.

Lohan will be arraigned on January 15 after she claimed she was not behind the wheel of a Porsche that smashed into a dump truck in Santa Monica, Calif. last June.

According to USA Today, Lohan told police that her assistant was driving, but detectives believe that it was actually Lohan who was behind the wheel on her way to a movie set.

Lohan was on probation stemming from two DUI charges at the time of the accident.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Jane Godfrey told Reuters that she would set a date for another hearing to determine if Lohan should be sent back to jail.

Fox News reports that The Los Angeles City Attorney asked for a bail to be set, but the judge declined.

"We're not there just yet," the judge said.

She faces up to eight months in jail, which does not include additional jail time if she is convicted in her June car accident case, reports FOX News.

Lohan was not required to appear in court since the charges were misdemeanors. Instead, she is reportedly in England with her rumored boyfriend Max George and his band The Wanted.

"I heart the UK", Lohan tweeted on Monday.
