"I guess there's an attitude with storms — you can either be scared and hide in your house, or you can have a sense of humor about it," reporter Megan McGrath said.

Jimmy Kruyne, a 27-year-old assistant account executive at a marketing firm, lays claim to being "Shirtless Horse Man," tweeting Monday morning "The news crew is down the block, I'm thinking horse mask and swimming trunks?"

The video clip went viral nationally in just 90 minutes.

The Washington Post caught up with Kruyne and had to ask — what's up with the horse head?

"I actually bought it a couple years ago, just for fun,” he told the newspaper. “I thought it would be nice to have a horse mask around in case something comes up.”

Kruyne seems to be relishing his 15 seconds of fame.

In a later tweet, Kruyne (who's now up to 661 followers) jokes: "In my next life, I'd like to come back as a horse and wear a human mask during the next hurricane."
