The Rolling Stones will celebrate 50 years in the music industry with four concerts in Britain and the United States, the aging rockers announced today.

The Associated Press reported the concerts – called "50 & Counting: The Rolling Stones Live" – would be held on November 25 and 29 in London’s O2 Arena.

The band will back up on December 13 and 15 to perform at the Prudential Center in New York.

"Everybody loves a celebration, and London and New York are two good places to do it in," Mick Jagger was quoted by the Guardian as saying.

Keith Richards apologized to fans for keeping “you all hanging around,” referring to months of rumors about an anniversary tour, Reuters reported.

"I've always said the best place for rock and roll is on the stage and the same is true for the Stones," Richards said.

"I'm here with Mick, Charlie and Ronnie and everything is rocking. See you very soon!"

It will be the first time in five years that the band – Jagger, Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood – have performed live, according to The Telegraph.

Their last world tour, "A Bigger Bang," ended in 2007.
