Lindsay Lohan's trip to New York continues to be drama-filled.
According to TMZ, the 26-year-old was rushed to hospital last night, unable to breathe.
A friend said she has been battling a lung infections, described as "walking pneumonia" for a few weeks.
When the "Mean Girls" star's health deteriorated last night, she sought treatment at Mt. Sinai hospital.
After being seen by a doctor in the emergency department, she was prescribed medication and discharged, the gossip website reported.
Her father, Michael Lohan, confirmed to The New York Daily News his daughter was now recovering at her hotel.
“She’s fine, but she had a bad case of asthma as a kid, so she has to take these things seriously,” Michael Lohan said.
“When she was a kid, we almost lost her a couple of times because of the asthma.”
He said the lung infection has been bugging LiLo for weeks and had delayed her trip to New York.
The medical scare follows last week's arrest in New York after she allegedly left the scene of an accident after clipping a pedestrian with her car.
The pedestrian, a New York chef, claimed Lohan was “slurring” and “smelled of alcohol” when she allegedly bumped him with a Porsche in a driveway between the Maritime and Dream hotels in Chelsea.
Lohan remains on probation in her necklace theft case, with concerns that any criminal charges in New York could trigger further jail time for the star of the forthcoming film, "Liz & Dick".
