Actor Jason Sudeikis will be returning to 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend, after keeping silent on the issue all summer.

NBC officially confirmed that the 36-year-old comedian has decided to return to the cast along with his Mitt Romney impression.

Entertainment Weekly reported this is good news for SNL fans still upset over the departures of cast members Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg, and Abby Elliott.

EW said Sudeikis' contract was up last spring but he will stay with the show “at least until January,”

“It’s an amazing job and a horrible job,” Sudeikis recently told Men's Journal. "You really do serve the show. It’s just like playing in a community college. Everybody knows they’re not going to be there forever. Even the coach wants to go to a D-I school.”

Saturday Night Live Executive Director Lorne Michaels told The New York Times: “He’s a fiercely loyal guy, both to the show and to me."
